Notes for season 1 episode 19, “Flesh and Blood”
05:29 Reese calls Carter on his cellphone, and you hear the rapid tone sequence of a speed-dial. In my experience the smartphones of this era didn’t actually do that. It’s been added in to convey he’s making a call (already obvious visually) but on relying recognition by people who used a particular feature of many landline phones in the 80s and 90s.
12:28 “I’ve always taken a somewhat liberal view of how to use a telephone.”
36:34 While Unkle’s “Burn my Shadow” plays during the shootout, the subtitles on the Apple TV version somehow mis-attributes it as “[Heroes Of Newerth’s I Have Earned My Tomorrows]”. (I’ve checked the 2012 blu-ray edition, and it’s not there.) My best guess is that the subtitles person misheard the lyrics, did a web search for them, found a 2011 gameplay video that also misheard it, and decided that it from a game soundtrack?
